Suburbia

The home, just like a family portrait, is a protective layer that masks idiosyncracies. Across America, families obsessively display, stage and craft pleasant exterior shells. I see intrigue and tension in perfectly manicured homes and smiling families, as there is mystery in how much truth, if any, is being displayed.

The figurative works in this series depict a fusing of both the
domestic environment and its inhabitants. The presentation of a
façade is upheld in the characters and homes alike.
